Smoke Escape® is a beat resistant hood conceived to help survive a fore or other emergency by filtering out the smoke from the air needed to breathe. Smoke developed by a fire can cause loss of consciousness within seconds, leading then rapidly to death by asphyxia.

The hood covers the entire head and neck and has only to be pulled over it. Since it has neither laces nor buckles or buttons one has to pay heed that smoke does not enter from underneath the hood by holding it tight around the neck or by placing it under the shirt collar.

The hood shell is constructed of an optically clear random copolymer which is heat resistent up to a temperature of 150°C; it permits 360° visibility and easy voice contact and is suitable for wearers of eyeglasses.

The product is tear resistant and cannot be pierced easily; variations of atmospheric conditions or an aggressive environment have no influence on it.

Smoke Escape® is CE conformed and is in compliance with the EU 89/686 cat.1 directives.
The product has also received the endorsement of the California Organisation of Police and Sheriffs.
